A cake recipe for all foodies:

Place the puff pastry slices together and let them defrost at room temperature for 30 min.

Roll out the dough slices on a floured work surface to 10 x 200 mm rectangles. Cut a strip of 5 mm small from each long side.

Split the sheets into 2 squares each. Place a rolled up slice of ham on each square. Mix the egg yolk and brush the edges of the dough with it.

Fold the squares and press the edges neatly together. Brush the surfaces of the pockets ditto with egg yolk. Brush the narrow strips of dough with egg yolk and place them crosswise over the pockets.
